The astonishing video depicts a powerful gust of wind toppling over the barn’s roof, leading to one of the startled cows fleeing outside.

Surveillance camera footage recorded on a farm in the city of Bijie, in China’s southwestern province of Guizhou, showed the roof of the barn collapsing under the strong wind at 2:33pm on 20th February.

It further depicts a cow from the kine breaking free and escaping into the open, seemingly terrified by the scene. None of the animals were reportedly injured in the incident.

The female owner of the farm later told Chinese media: “The cow is fine. There hasn’t been such a strong wind in several years.”

The video prompted many reactions after it was shared on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, later that day, leaving many social media users unable to hold back from commenting.

Douyin user ‘@happiness’ said: “Now this is God, who is doing things and people are watching. I hope all living beings will pass safely.”

Then user ‘Bader Dental (Yunnan Kunming General Hospital)’ commented: “I’m so scared. The wind is so strong that even cows can live in the sunroom. It’s so windy”

And ‘Mountains and flowing water’ added: “Why have there been so many extreme weather events in recent years? It is urgent to protect the global environment!”

The clip has reached more than 8,600 likes and over 730 shares on the platform as of 22nd February.
