This is the hilarious moment a lazy dad lying alongside his toddler son and playing on his mobile phone leaps into action to look busy when his wife suddenly arrives home.

The footage was shot on a CCTV camera installed at the family home in Linyi, a prefecture-level city in the south of Shandong Province, China on Monday, 16th January.

It shows the man lying inside a playpen area with his feet stretched out as he plays on his mobile phone.

Alongside him, his son is busy playing quietly with a toy, when suddenly the sound of the door being opened reaches the pair.

While the child ignores it, the man hides the mobile phone and leaps forward, grabbing the toy box and tipping the contents onto the floor.

He then grabs the baby, puts him on his lap and grabs the nearest toy to make it look as if they are having some fun father and son time together.

The woman then walks in, and surveys the scene, although it’s not clear if she was aware of what was going on as the footage ends.
