Four other defendants were each sentenced to a year in prison, according to Rudaw.

The shooting reportedly took place at the popular restaurant Huqqabaz that is in a posh area in Erbil just five minutes from the Turkish Consulate.
It is unclear when the death sentences will be carried out.
