This is the moment a Spanish cop chases three suspected drug dealers and fires a warning shot into the air in a bid to make them stop.

The cop chase took place in the city of Marbella in the province of Malaga located in the southern Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia.

According to local media, the authorities believe the suspects were trying to swindle a rival gang as 65 packages of actual sugar were found in their crashed vehicle.

The footage shows three policemen running after the three suspects and one cop is seen pulling out his gun and firing in the air as a warning.

Two of the alleged criminals are seen ducking through some bushes to run across a field in an apparent attempt to flee the pursuing cops.

According to local media, the police managed to arrest all three suspects and another clip shows the detained men being led across a field by the police officers.

It is unclear what charges the police are pursuing if the drugs the men were suspected of selling were actually sugar, but the suspects remain under arrest and the investigation is continuing.
