Dallas Gymnastics Coach Charged With Sexually Abusing Young Child

A Dallas gymnastics coach has been charged with sexually abusing a young child.

Edouard Iarov was arrested on Friday 10th December and Dallas police in the southern US state of Texas are currently investigating in a bid to determine if there were more victims.

Iarov, 69, owns Iarov Elite Gymnastics, according to the police, which is based in the city of Farmers Branch. The company says on its website that it is ” committed to enhancing children’s lives through fitness, self-confidence and discipline”.

Iarov is alleged to have continuously sexually abused a child, who has not been named and whose age has not been reported, over a long period of time. He has been charged with “continuous sexual abuse of young child”, which is a first-degree felony.

Iarov has reportedly been recently added to the List of Suspended and Restricted Persons Pending Resolution and is banned from having unsupervised contact with minors in any USA Gymnastics facilities and events, according to the USA Gymnastics website.

The Dallas Police Department is asking the public for help to identify other potential victims. People with information are asked to call Detective Dwayne Cooper at 214-275-1329 or to send an email to dwayne.cooper@dallascityhall.com.

The police did not release further information pertaining to the case nor did they go into details about the alleged abuse.
