A doctor accused of raping sedated patients is facing child abuse charges after 20,000 sickening child porn images were found on his devices.

Medic Andres Eduardo Onate Carrillo was originally arrested on 16th January for raping two female patients during surgeries in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Police found three videos of him abusing patients when they searched his phones and computers, according to local media.

Now the Colombian national is also facing child abuse charges over tens of thousands of paedophile videos and pictures unearthed in the search.

He is also suspected of having groomed children for sex pictures online, according to local media.

The Federal Police’s Service for the Repression of Hate Crimes and Child Pornography had told the Civil Police that some of these files may have been obtained as a result of grooming young victims.

Investigators say they found a fake profile where the medic pretended to be a child in order to obtain indecent images from his young victims.

Spokesperson Luiz Henrique Marque told local media: “We found screen recordings from his cell phone of conversations with children who sent photos and videos.

“As these devices turn off, he took the opportunity to record and store the content for future use.”

Onate Carrillo also allegedly shared the illegal content on the web.

The images are currently being analysed by the Specialised Court for Crimes against Children and Adolescents.

The investigation is ongoing.
