This leaked video seen over a million times online shows a nursery school teacher punishing a screaming tot by picking him up and hanging him from a wall by his clothing as the youngster begs to be put down.

The clip has led to the closure of the privately run nursery school, which officials say had no operating licence and no qualified teachers.

The footage from Qingyuan District in Baoding City, which is in North China’s Hebei Province, was filmed by a second teacher inside the classroom on 17th July.

In the video, the unnamed teacher can be seen picking up the crying boy, muttering the words: “[I’ll] hang you up.”

The screaming boy, whose name and age have not been disclosed, hears this and shouts: “No!”

The teacher tries to push him against the wood, and, when he resists, shoves him against the nearby brick wall.

As the video ends, the boy is seen hanging there as the teacher dangles him by his sleeveless top.

A county spokesman said the second teacher sent the video to her husband “as a joke”, but the spouse then leaked the footage online.

Officials investigating the case said the nursery school did not have relevant operating licences, and none of its staff was qualified to teacher.

The school has been shut while the probe continues.

The authorities did not say whether the teacher in question was arrested or summoned for questioning.
