This beautiful Muslim doctor has reportedly been slammed by traditionalists in a Muslim-majority Russian region after she appeared on the dating reality show ‘The Bachelor’.

Beautiful GP Sapiyat Akhmedova, 26, was born in the town of Izerbach in the south-western Russian republic of Dagestan and the conservative Muslim region is well known for its traditional values and strict rules.

The beautiful doctor has been living in the north-western Russian city of Saint Petersburg after studying for her medical degree there, and she recently took part in the Russian version of the ‘The Bachelor’, called ‘Holostyak’.

However, the GP and nutritionist soon found herself being targeted by religious trolls following her TV appearance.

According to local media, traditional Muslims in her native Dagestan slammed Akhmedova for bringing shame on her family, especially her father.

Local social activist ‘Shamil Khadulaev’ said: “Such behaviour is against the traditions of the peoples of Dagestan and the entire Northern Caucasus.”

He also noted that a Muslim woman should never be the one “fighting for a man’s heart, as century after century it was done the other way round”.

Netizen ‘Dunya Parovozova’ commented: “I hope they don’t kill her over this ‘bad behaviour’.”

‘Anton Markov’ said: “Medieval attitude. I think we should get rid of this region and close the border.”
