This is the 55-year-old mother who kept her three children locked in their house for 10 years using a dog to stop them from leaving.
The incident occurred in the city of Ust-Katav in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia where mother Dina Azizova reportedly refused to allow her three children to leave the property where they lived for 10 years.
Local media report the children, given the names Darina, 20, Damir, 15 and Alina Aliev, 11, in reports, were kept locked in the house and were only ever allowed into the garden but no further.
They did not attend school and were only in the garden by the presence of an aggressive dog, according to reports.
On 6th November Dina Azizova called the Ust-Katav police department saying that three of her children had been kidnapped.
A hunt was launched and the siblings were found that same day but they reportedly told officers they did not want to return home.
Local media report they said they had intentionally run away from home as their mother kept them imprisoned there.
They explained that the vicious dog and security cameras all over the property had been stopping them from escaping, according to reports.
When the mother found out that her children had run away rather than having been kidnapped she reportedly called the local police department and told the officers: “You may put me in jail if you want to, but I wanted the best for them all the time.”
The next morning she reportedly set fire to her house and ended her life by stabbing herself. The children are now in hospital and are being treated by psychologists.
