This is the moment a priest happily marries his giggling ex-girlfriend off to another bloke.

The priest has been named as Roniel Sulit, in charge of the Santo Nino de Lipa parish, which is located in the province of Batangas, in the northern Philippines.

Sulit can be seen in this footage marrying off his ex-girlfriend to another man and seeming very happy about the whole affair, with the bride also seen giggling behind her veil.

Sulit has over 113,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel, where he tells his followers about the day-to-day life of a priest and broadcasts church masses.

And he is now making the rounds in local media outlets after reportedly going viral by marrying his ex-girlfriend, named in local media reports as Maria Korina, to another man.

He even made jokes, reportedly saying: “I have married many couples, but today I am nervous because Korina is my ex-girlfriend.”

He added: “We are live on social media, so this is embarrassing. But I’m not going to stop the wedding, that’s something that only happens in movies. You can see that Korina is nervous on the monitor, but not because of her wedding, but because of what I am going to tell.”

Sulit explained how it had come to pass that he should officiate his ex-girlfriend’s wedding, saying: “Korina sent me a text message to tell me that she and [her fiance] Manuel were engaged. She emailed me a photo of her engagement ring and said it would be great stuff for my blog.”

He added: “Isn’t it true, Korina, that the past is gone? We have moved on with our lives: I am a priest and you are getting married. I asked her if she was happy and she answered yes, extremely happy. Manuel, she affirmed, was brought into her life by God.”

He also told his ex-girlfriend during the ceremony: “I wish you a happy and fulfilling life together. They say that a marriage is made up of three people, and the third is not me, but God. In your marriage, God will be with you.”
