This is the impressive moment a fast-moving dolphin not only keeps up with a fast-moving police patrol boat but also manages to leap playfully out of the water at the same time.

The footage was posted online by the Pasco Sheriff’s office in Pasco County, Florida.

It is unclear why the friendly mammal decided to chase the law enforcement boat.

It’s not the first time the sheriffs’ office has noticed dolphins getting up close and personal and they posted a similar incident in February of this year.

Online commentators were impressed such as Francesca Neons who wrote: “That is awesome.” And MsSpecialKay he wrote: “Awww, I love dolphins.”
