This is the moment a brawling exchange student boots a man on the ground with a full-force kick to the head as female onlookers wail, leaving him fighting for his life in hospital.

The incident took place outside the bar Mommart in Punta de San Felipe in Cadiz in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia and four Italian Erasmus students have been arrested after the brawl.

An argument between the 30-year-old Spanish victim and the Italian students started inside the bar and then developed into a brawl outside, according to reports.

In the footage, a man in a black jacket is seen being punched to the ground by one of the Italian students.

While on the ground, a bearded student approaches him and kicks him hard in the head as onlookers scream.

His friends then try to lift up the victim’s limp body.

One of the Italian students has reportedly been detained in a preventative prison while the others have since been released, according to local media.

The 29-year-old suspect who is seen kicking the Spanish resident’s head has been identified as Emilio di Puorto. His three friends were named as Dario Bordoni, 24, Luca Maicon Vinicius Bellavia, 22, and Nicola Iannetta, 21.

Meanwhile, the victim is being treated at the Hospital Universitario Puerta del Mar where he is said to be in a serious condition.

The investigation continues.
