This is the moment a gang of heavily-armed masked gunmen barge into a Mexican car dealership before reportedly ordering workers to lie on the floor and shooting them dead.

The incident was filmed by the dealership’s CCTV cameras in the colony of Las Palmas in the municipality of Cuernavaca located in the central Mexican state of Morelos and was later shared on social media.

In the footage, a car is seen reversing into the building before the doors fly open and four masked men jump out brandishing guns.

They then enter an office and make two workers lie on the floor while gang members appear to look for other employees, arriving shortly afterwards with two more.

When the four workers are on the floor, the gunmen cock their guns and fire into their bodies.

The gang then runs back to their car and they drive off.

According to local media, frightened residents heard the multiple gunshots and called the police who cordoned off the dealership and launched an investigation.

Reports said that no one has been arrested so far and the motive for the attack is still unknown.

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, Mexico recorded 29 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants during 2018 with the states of Colima, Baja California and Chihuahua recording the highest crime rates.
