Mechanic Drops Hood After Finding 7-Foot Boa Constrictor Was Reason For Gear Problem

This is the shocking moment a mechanic finds a seven-foot-long boa constrictor wrapped around a car engine.

The incident happened as the driver had her car taken for repair at the workshop Mega Centro Automotivo, in Rio Branco, in the Brazilian state of Acre, on Wednesday, 10th January.

The footage shows the snake wrapped around the car parts in the engine.

Douglas Mendes, who works in the workshop, told local media that a woman had called them asking for a tow truck because she was having problems with her vehicle.

The car was removed from the tow truck and a mechanic opened the hood to begin looking for the problem.

Douglas said: “She told me that there was a problem with the clutch.

A second piece of footage shows the moment the mechanic opens the hood and drops it in shock after seeing the large snake.

Douglas said: “The animal was very confused. We closed the hood so it wouldn’t be more stressed.
