The man arrested for killing and chopping up his sleeping friend with scissors, drinking his blood and burning his body parts also skinned the victim’s face and removed his skull, say the police.

The latest gory details of the shocking killing of 33-year-old waste picker Antonio Carlos Pires de Lima on 1st October were released by the police on Tuesday, 19th October.

The suspect has been identified as Andre Soares Ferreira, who lived with the victim in the administrative district of Samambaia in the Federal District in Brazil.

According to the Civil Police of the Federal District, in addition to dismembering, drinking the blood, and burning the victim’s body, the suspect also skinned his head and removed his skull.

The suspect was remanded in preventive custody on 9th October after police officers found body parts they believed to belong to the victim on a vacant lot in Samambaia Norte (North).

The suspect was first believed to have killed his housemate in a satanic ritual, however police chief Rodrigo Carbone now believes he skinned his head purely to complicate the investigation.

The satanic ritual hypothesis was proposed after cops entered the house and found drawings of demons and scribblings of ‘666’ on the walls.

As of Tuesday, 19th October, the victim’s skull had still not been found.

The police have also revealed that the two men lived with a third man, who told officers he witnessed the crime. Investigators believe all three men were drug users.

According to the third man, the suspect stabbed the victim with scissors while covering his mouth until he died.

He said the suspect then placed the victim’s body in a supermarket trolley filled with debris and set it alight along with his belongings.

He claimed the suspect then removed the bloodstains in the house with bleach and that the suspect threatened him so he did not call the police.

The man also said he had once seen the suspect kill a duck, drink its blood and pour some of its remaining blood into a plastic likeness of a human skull he used as an amulet.

The police said the suspect is a repeat offender with an extensive criminal record including theft and domestic violence.

At the time of the crime, the victim was serving a non-prison sentence for a past conviction.

The case has been registered as murder and the investigation continues.
