This is the moment a young man is gunned down in a hail of bullets in the street in an ambush by his pregnant ex and her new boyfriend before they drag his body for 50 metres underneath their car.

At the time of reporting, 20-year-old Stephany Caroline da Silva Alves and her boyfriend, 21-year-old Leonardo Vynicius Rodrigues Wash were being sought by the police for murder.

The victim was the young woman’s ex-boyfriend, 25-year-old Renan de Souza Soares, who was killed after being lured into an ambush in the Brazilian city of Curitiba on 30th September.

The footage allegedly shows Wash gunning down the victim in a hail of bullets before both suspects drive over his body in their car and drag it down the road for some 50 metres (164 ft).

The police believe the crime was motivated by jealousy on the part of Wash, despite Alves’ prior relationship with Soares having been brief.

According to the investigation, Soares was lured into the trap by Alves, who sent him a message asking him to meet her outside his home where he was allegedly ambushed by Wash.

According to the police, the couple’s plan was to drive Soares to a more discreet location and kill him there. However, Wash ended up shooting him at the scene after he tried to flee.

The two suspects then took the victim’s phone before driving over his body and dragging it down the road. According to reports, Wash had threatened Soares on previous occasions.

Both suspects reportedly have criminal records. Alves has served time for theft and drug trafficking while Wash has served time for receiving stolen goods and illegal firearm possession.

Alves, who is believed to be six months pregnant, reportedly has 18 police reports filed against her, and Wash is reportedly mentioned in nine police reports.

The police believe the suspects are in hiding in a gang-controlled neighbourhood of Curitiba and they have asked the local population for any information they may have as to their whereabouts.
