This is the moment a man slips on a rug and falls flat on his face while racing out a door before slipping a second time just seconds later in nearly exactly the same place.

The incident was caught on surveillance footage inside a billiard club in Ningbo, in China’s eastern Zhejiang Province, on Thursday evening, 14th March.

In the viral video, the man, not named, can be seen running out of the club’s entrance when he stepped on a doormat and it slipped from right under him.

He fell on the floor, landing several feet outside the door.

Seemingly unfazed by the painful slip, he got himself up and immediately ran back.

But he wound up stepping right back over the same spot and slipped once again, this time dropping the two items he was carrying in his hands.

Two men rushed over to help him up and recover the items as he sat on the floor apparently embarrassed for repeating the same mistake just three seconds later.

He later told local media: “I fell twice because I didn’t mop up the water under the doormat properly. Fortunately, I wasn’t injured.

“I still can’t figure out why I had to run back.”

The video, shared on Douyin, China’s TikTok, has notched up more than 1.3 million likes. Nearly 200,000 comments and over four million shares after being posted hours later on Thursday.
