The video depicts a man getting rescued after he got trapped inside a massive grill while cleaning it on the street.

CCTV camera footage showed the man standing in the grill and cleaning it when he suddenly lost balance and got trapped inside in the city of Luanzhou, in China’s northern province of Hebei, on 29th January.

He then screamed for help and knocked on the container when a girl riding a motorbike noticed him and rushed to the object upon hearing his voice.

Unable to open the grill, she then called for help and brought another person on-site to help her set the man free. The man can be seen exhaling in relief after getting out.

The recording became a massive hit after it was shared on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, later that day. It left social media users unable to hold back from commenting.

Douyin user ‘If you are unsure about something, you can ask the spring breeze’ said: “Fortunately, it doesn’t use electricity. If it did, the lid would have turned on automatically when it closed.”

User ‘··’ commented: “How would have he saved himself in this situation if nobody was around?”

And ‘Fifth Master talks in his sleep’ added: “What was he doing inside?”

The video has reached more than 101,000 likes and another 263,000 shares as of 30th January.
