This is the moment a scared pedestrian dives head-first onto an icy road while being chased by a pack of wild dogs.
The aggressive strays were filmed chasing the unfortunate man in the town of Severouralsk located in the central Russian region of Sverdlovsk Oblast, and the footage was later widely shared on social media.
In the video, at least nine dogs are seen barking at a male pedestrian as they approach him on the icy pavement.
While they start to crowd him, the man turns and runs and the barking pack of dogs gives chase, snapping at his heels as he struggles through the thick snow.
He eventually dives head-first into the sludgy road just as a van passes and the dogs turn back.
The video ends with the stray dogs running back along the pavement and past a residential building.
Netizen ‘LatishsiyEevrey’ said: “They could have ripped him to shreds!”
‘Natar5.0’ commented: “You should never turn your back on such dogs. You need to look right at them while scanning for a stick or stone to throw at the most aggressive dog.”
‘Dangerisback’ wrote: “When I see a video like that, it makes me appreciate the good work dog catchers do.”
