Kursat ‘Chico’ Yildirim, 42, became a household name in Germany after scooping a massive win last year.

Now, he wants to start a new life as an actor and says his experiences on the streets and his partner’s life as a lady cop means he knows real-life crime from both sides.

Former crane driver Chico explained: “I wish with all my heart that I could one day play in a Dortmund crime scene.

“I grew up in the northern part of the city, was a drug addict, at the very bottom. I often had to act and fool people.”

The son of hardworking Turkish migrant parents, who boasts more than 875,000 followers on Instagram, said he might even help show makers boost ratings.

He explained: “Believe me, I’m so popular now. Everyone wants a photo with me. When I’m on TV, everyone tunes in.”

His Dortmund police inspector girlfriend, named only as Candice N., 36, would be perfect, he said, for filling him in on the nuts and bolts of police procedure.

Fast-living Chico has already blown a huge part of his lottery fortune since the win just 13 months ago.

He spent GBP 392,000 on a V8 Ferrari 448 Pista and GBP 178,000 on a Porsche Turbo S Cabriolet.

Luxury apartments, gifts to friends and family, plus more than GBP 100,000 on designer clothes have also put significant dents in his bank balance.

He also splashed out on designer watches from luxury stores like Rolex, Prada, Gucci, and Versace, as well as lavish apartments in Germany and Istanbul.
