A Brazilian mum has told of her shock of learning that she was pregnant with sextuplets.

Pregnant Quezia Romualdo went to have her first ultrasound in Colatina, Espirito Santo State, on 12th May.
To her astonishment, the doctor told her that she was pregnant with six babies.
Quezia, 29, told local media: “It was a big shock. When the doctor started the exam, I saw two babies.
“But then the doctor started saying, ‘Wait, I see another one here, and there’s another one, and one more.’
“I started getting nervous, trembling. I could only think, ‘Are you kidding me?'”
Stay-at-home mum Quezia and carpenter Magdiel Costa are already parents to a four-year-old girl.
Magdiel, 31, told local media: “When the exam started, I had already seen about three of them there. But then the doctor said, ‘Wait, there’s more.’

“And she started counting: one, two, three, four, five, six. When she said six, I even felt a bit ill. I left the room, then came back and asked if she was sure.
“Then the doctor let us listen to all six little hearts, one by one.”
Quezia recalled: “I wanted to leave from there. So many things went through my mind. It was a whirlwind of emotions, a huge shock.
“I went there to see just one baby and discovered six. My life changed drastically after that.”
Quezia and her husband had been trying for another child after their daughter Heloisa, who turns five in July, said she wanted a little sibling.
The mum said: “It was all natural. We had been trying for about eight months. I found out about my pregnancy at the end of April. I took several tests, even at the lab.
“Until then, I was calm. But after finding out about the six babies, it was a huge shock.”

Quezia revealed that she has already explained to Heloisa that now her wish will be fulfilled, multiplied by six.
She said: “At first, she didn’t understand very well, but then we talked and told her that she’s going to have six little siblings, I showed it with my hand.
“Now she understands and is very happy.”
The couple, who have been together for almost 10 years, are now focused on the changes they will have to make after learning that the family is going to grow substantially.
Quezia said: “My life is a mess right now. Our house only has two bedrooms, we were already planning to get a new bed. But now I’ll have to rearrange it, create a big room to accommodate the six babies.
“We’ll also have to change the car, buy a minivan because now there will be nine people, right?”
The couple have since created an Instagram profile to share updates about Quezia’s pregnancy. It had 46,900 followers at the time of writing.

A video showing the mum’s first ultrasound already has 98,800 views.
Quezia said: “I only felt more at ease after receiving support from friends and family. But we talked and realised that we’re going to need a lot of help.
“We’re even considering starting a crowdfunding campaign because it’s going to be a lot of expenses, a lot of costs.
“My mother is even going to move from Vila Velha to Colatina to be able to help me.”
Quezia is two months pregnant and it is estimated that the babies will be born no later than October.
Her pregnancy is considered high-risk.
The mum told local media: “Usually, sextuplets are premature. We will find out their gender later on; we also want to have a gender reveal party.
“You never think something like this will happen to you. It’s so many children.”
