This is the moment a lorry driver keeps on going after his vehicle erupts into a huge fireball following a mystery explosion on the motorway.

The incident was filmed by a motorist behind the blazing lorry in the district of Pozanti in the southern Turkish province of Adana and uploaded to social media.

In the footage, a lorry is seen overtaking another heavy goods vehicle before taking a sharp bend.

Smoke is seen coming from the back of the lorry and a sudden explosion turns the vehicle into a fireball.

At the end of the clip, the driver is seen continuing on his route as the lorry is ablaze.

According to local media, lorry driver Ramazan Hastas was transporting a cargo of onions to the capital Ankara when one of his tyres had a blowout.

The driver was reportedly unaware and continued along the motorway before overheating caused the tyre to catch fire.

The lorry promptly turned into a huge fireball and the driver continued his route for some distance before realising, according to reports.

Hastas immediately called the emergency services, but by the time firefighters arrived, the lorry and cargo had already been seriously damaged by the fire.

It is unclear whether the local authorities are investigating the incident. The driver, who has not been named, was reportedly unhurt in the incident.
