Jet-Setting Nude Model Quits Job To Become COVID Nurse

This is the Dutch nude model girlfriend of a British DJ who swapped her birthday suit for a carer’s uniform to work in the front line tackling the COVID outbreak.

The 28-year-old who uses the name Sofie Woz for her modelling quit her former job as a nude model jet setting to photoshoots across the globe to help in the corona department of a nursing home in her native Roosendaal, in the province of North Brabant, southern Netherlands.

She old Newsflash her real name was Sanne, but asked for her surname not to be used in the report about her work.

Sanne said she had previously qualified as a nurse but decided to abandon her ambitions in the care industry to travel the world and become a full-time model over three years ago.

The inspiration for modelling came when she was travelling with her British boyfriend – Jonathan Yates, 34, a DJ, producer and photographer from Yorkshire – and she met a Dutch woman who had posed for Playboy magazine.

She told local media: “I got to talk to a Dutch girl who had posed for the Playboy. Her photos were beautiful and not vulgar at all. I didn’t immediately think ‘I want this too’, but it did plant a seed.”

She decided to give it a try when she saw an advert seeking nude models – and the rest is history.

Sanne and her boyfriend had planned to travel again this year and had bought a van but the pandemic meant that he returned to his family in the UK while she went home to the Netherlands.

In the Netherlands there was a nationwide call for former health workers to assist in corona departments.

She told local media: “I’d been home for two weeks now and I had nothing to do. I decided to try.” Soon she got the message that she could start working in a nursing home in Roosendaal.

Speaking to Newsflash about her decision she said: “My town is in the south of the Netherlands where the pandemic is at its worst so it’s been pretty crazy.

Speaking about the restrictions in the Netherlands she told Newsflash:

“In the beginning, people accepted the restrictions without complaint although now people are getting a little impatient.

“Luckily the number of cases is going down and the government is slowly letting go of the restrictions.”

While the pandemic has not been without its challenges for the big-hearted health worker who gave up her apartment before the pandemic to tour the world for her photography work.

She added: ” I take life as it comes, I’m glad I could stay at my parents place after giving up my apartment in Amsterdam and I’m happy to be able to help out as a nurse.

“As the borders closed I couldn’t travel for my shoots anymore and I had to postpone all of my work for the foreseeable future.”

Despite the fact she is happy to muck in during the pandemic, the 28-year-old admits that she is also keen to return to modelling in the future.

“I’m really looking forward to create photos again both as a model and as photographer.

“I miss being creative and exploring locations to shoot.

“However, I like working as a nurse for now, but I know it’s temporary so I’m coming into it with a different outlook.”
