Brazilian cops say this gorgeous influencer’s modest life changed the moment she met a drug kingpin in a nightclub last year as the couple remains on the run on suspicion of heading a deadly trafficking gang.

Jennifer Rovero, a 23-year-old Brazilian fitness model and influencer, has 17,000 followers on Instagram and is currently wanted by Brazilian cops for being involved in a criminal gang that operates in the municipalities of Paranagua and Matinhos in the Brazilian state of Parana.

The Civil Police of Parana (PCPR), the state’s investigative police force, has linked an unspecified number of murders in the region this year to the gang’s suspected activities.

Chief police investigator Rodrigo Brown said: “We have been noticing since the beginning of the year an increase in the number of murders here in the region of Paranagua, on the coast, violent crimes, always committed in broad daylight, and this caught the attention of the Security Secretariat and the Civil Police Department.”

The PCPR reportedly arrested 17 suspected gang members as part of a mega-operation in October.

According to the news site R7, the cops also confiscated several luxury cars and high-end apartments linked to the gang.

In an update this week, the local police said they are continuing to search for four suspects, including Rovero, and that the other 17 remain under arrest.

The police said the influencer, who used to post snaps of herself wearing high-end brands and living a life of luxury, met drug lord Robson de Oliveira, 36, at a nightclub in early 2020.

According to RIC Mais, Rovero comes from a modest family and used to sell lunchboxes to help out with daily costs.

However, her lifestyle started to change after meeting De Oliveira and she soon became known as the ‘First Lady’ of drug trafficking in the area.

According to reports, the couple moved a large amount of money through personal bank accounts and the purchase of restaurants, nightclubs and expensive goods.

Police chief Nilson Diniz said: “This makes it possible to seize these items, which corroborate the initial thesis that these individuals were dedicated to trafficking.

“It involves a lot of expense that does not match their declared financial incomes.

“Obviously, Rovero enters the picture the moment her partner was investigated.

“At first, she allowed her bank account to be used for operations and receiving amounts related to drugs sales.”

According to local media, it is believed the couple are hiding out in Paraguay.
