HORROR DAD: Father Murders Baby Son And Leaves Wife Paralysed Before Shooting Himself

A father shot his six-month-old son dead and then paralysed his wife before killing himself with the same gun.

Police say David E. Stansbury, Jr., 42, shot his wife Aubree Young and their baby Kymani at the family home in North Salmon Creek, Clark County, in the US state of Washington, on Wednesday, 7th December.

Family members reportedly said the brutal attacks were “a tragic act of domestic violence”.

Aubree managed to call the police despite her horrific injuries.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “The 911 caller, an adult female, reported that her husband had just shot their infant child, shot her, and then shot himself.

“As CCSO deputies arrived, they made exigent entry into the residence and found three people down on the ground from apparent gunshot wounds.”

Stansbury, originally from Vancouver, was pronounced dead at the scene, with little Kymani dying in hospital on 9th December.

A GoFundMe has been launched to help Aubree. At the time of writing, it had reached USD 115,667 (GBP 95,061) in donations out of a USD 150,000 (GBP 123,277.50) goal to help pay for her child’s funeral and for her medical bills.

The organiser, Amy Ruth, said: “Some tragedies are beyond words and as much as we want to answer why, no amount of detail will satisfy the question.”

She added: “The family asks that the public respect their privacy as they navigate the complicated grief ahead of them.”
