High-Speed Chase In Stolen Vehicle Ends In Collision And Suspects’ Arrest

This dramatic footage shows LAPD officers arresting two suspects that attempted to flee in a stolen vehicle after escaping a traffic stop and causing a car crash.

The incident reportedly took place in the city of Los Angeles, in the US State of California on 16th February.

Dash-cam and body-worn footage obtained by Newsflash from the LAPD – which released it on 29th March – shows the wild pursuit leading up to the suspects’ arrest.

It began as a black pick-up truck – that was reported to be stolen earlier that day – failed to stop for officers and collided with a Scion after running a red light.

The collision caused the Scion to collide with a traffic light.

The stolen truck eventually became disabled north of Gage Avenue, and the driver and passenger fled on foot.

Both were detained by responding officers.

The driver of the Scion was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The Multi-Disciplinary Collision Investigation Team responded to the scene to investigate the collision.

The driver, later identified as Dashawn Sutton, 43, was reportedly found to be intoxicated when taken into custody.
