In the video footage for the Go Skateboarding Day event, which takes place every 21st June, two motorbike cops are seen riding through the crowd before one of them crashes straight into a young skateboarder, sending both of them crashing to the tarmac

Several of the skateboarder’s pals immediately start beating the cop on the ground and he is forced to run away while protecting himself.

Meanwhile, the officer’s colleague circles around and rides at the aggressors, trapping one man under his front wheel.

The scene then intensifies as the clip ends.

According to local media, the two motorbike cops in the first video have been suspended pending an internal investigation.

Police sources said that more officers had to be sent to the scene to control the escalating tension between skateboarders and officials.

Five cops were reportedly injured as well as a female attendee. Meanwhile, one car was said to have been badly vandalised during the unrest.

Three attendees have also been arrested, according to local media.

The investigation is ongoing.
