Gorgeous Suspected Trafficker And Money Launderer Survives 20-Bullet Hit Unscathed

This gorgeous suspected trafficker, money launderer and criminal enterpriser has survived an assassination attempt while under house arrest.

Camila Marodin, dubbed the ‘Trafigata de Curitiba’ (roughly ‘Curitiba Trafficutie’) in the Brazilian press, survived an alleged attempt on her life on Monday, 31st January.

The tattooed stunner had popped to the shops near her residence in the neighbourhood of Alto Boqueirao in the city of Curitiba in the state of Parana.

She had just arrived back home with a friend in broad daylight when a hail of gunfire came from a parked grey car nearby, as seen in this video footage.

None of the reported 20 bullets that were fired hit her, but her friend, named as 25-year-old Paulo Sergio Veiga de Almeida, was injured and had to be taken to hospital.

According to the woman’s lawyer Claudio Dalledone, the residence is the third his client has lived in since she was fitted with an ankle tag in mid-December.

She was regularly changing addresses due to the apparent threat to her life, with the woman telling her lawyer she regularly noticed suspicious activity nearby.

Camila was arrested in the municipality of Matinhos, around a 1.5-hour drive from Curitiba, in November by cops investigating the alleged gang she was part of.

The public prosecutor’s office accused her of trafficking, money laundering, and criminal enterprise, after BRL 1.3 million (GBP 182,000) was found in her account.

She was initially jailed, but her preventive detention was converted to house arrest the following month. Her bank account was also frozen.

In the same police operation, 13 properties, some high end, believed to belong to the alleged gang and valued at a total of BRL 5 million (GBP 701,000), were seized.

The cops also confiscated a motorbike and five cars – two Audis, a Honda, a Camaro and a Porsche – and they seized 39 weapons and BRL 120,000 (GBP 16,800) in cash.

Also during the police operation, which involved serving 40 warrants, a man with priors was shot dead, allegedly while “reacting” to his imminent arrest.

On 7th November, days before her arrest, Camila had seen her husband executed at one of their children’s birthday party in the city of Pinhais, neighbouring Curitiba.

Four men allegedly shot Ricardo Marodin as he left the events space where the party for the youngster was taking place.

Ricardo was suspected of heading a drug trafficking gang in the region, and, according to Dalledone, an ongoing war had erupted between rival gangs.

Three days after the killing, two men including a former cop were shot dead in the same car allegedly used in the hit.

According to local media, Camila Marodin was given a leadership role in the alleged gang following her husband’s execution.

The Civil Police (Brazil’s investigative police force) of Parana is currently investigating the case.

Camila was initially reported to have denied all accusations against her, and this appears to still be the case.
