The gorgeous wife of a famous German rapper jailed for drug trafficking has revealed there were condoms and lube waiting for them in their love cell for their first wedding night.
Rap star Ivo Vieira Silva, 37, jailed over 11 kilogrammes (24 lbs) of cannabis and 66 plants he had grown himself, married his fiancee Maya in jail.
Known as 18 Karat for his GBP 3,000 solid gold mask, the music star reportedly wed his 29-year-old sweetheart in a secret ceremony on Wednesday, 22nd March.
Now the stunning bride, who revealed the wedding through a series of Instagram snaps showing her in a wedding dress, has opened up about the couple’s first night as a married couple.
And she stunned her fans when she disclosed that there were condoms and lube waiting for them in their room.
Maya told German newspaper Bild: “The room had a wooden bed with a rubber mattress and a small side table with condoms, lube and shampoo on it.
“Since you are not allowed to take anything with you, they kindly provide it there.
“Ivo was allowed to buy snacks for a total value of EUR 7 [GBP 6], which were also available there: cola, chips and chocolate.”
Explaining that it felt liberating being able to talk freely to her hubby once again, Maya added: “It was extremely stuffy, the windows were locked… But we’re still grateful, we don’t want to complain.”
When asked how making love felt after a long period of abstinence, she added: “Of course we couldn’t keep our hands off each other, but these are moments that I don’t want to share, but rather keep in my memory.
“It’s not just about being able to get intimate. You could open up again, you could really laugh, you could just feel safe again.”
Maya, who lives in the city of Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, said seeing her partner again felt like meeting him for the first time.
She added: “I was so excited, I thought about what to wear days in advance – like it was the first date!”
Their time together, however, was cut short by a security guard three hours later.
Maya said: “We built each other up. We told each other that we are strong, that time flies and that we can count on each other.
“It’s very important for the person inside to know that you don’t give up, especially that you stay and wait…”
Silva asked Maya to marry him during his last court hearing when he was sentenced to six years and three months in prison for drug trafficking and smuggling on Tuesday, 20th December 2022.
He was arrested after French investigators cracked messages exchanged via the Encrochat messenger, also known as the ‘WhatsApp for criminals’, in 2020.
They caught him after they found 11 kilogrammes (24 lbs) of cannabis, about EUR 19,000 (GBP 16,600) in cash and ecstasy, in addition to two professional cannabis plantations where he grew 66 plants himself.
He was also fined EUR 239,940 (GBP 210,217) which was the sum he had reportedly earned from his crimes.
