A petty groom-to-be was filmed as he broke up with his cheating fiancee in front of 150 of their closest friends and family at a party during which they were supposed to announce their wedding date.
The couple were set to wed in October after putting off the ceremony for the past three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
They gathered all their friends and family at a villa in the charming town of Turin, in northern Italy, to announce they would get married in Greece.
But, in a shocking plot twist, future groom Massimo Segre instead exposed his betrothed for allegedly cheating on him.
The 63-year-old banker decided to use the opportunity instead to publicly break up with 47-year-old Cristina Seymandi in a lengthy speech.
Video footage shows Massimo standing next to the DJ with his fiancee beside him as he read what she apparently expected to be a love letter.
In the video, he says (in Italian): “I was supposed to announce that Cristina and I are getting married in October, but upon reflection, I realised that this isn’t a gift for her, but more for me.
“What is the gift to give Cristina? I’ve always believed that loving someone is desiring their well-being even more than one’s own.
“In this case, tonight, I want to give Cristina the freedom to love. To love someone, a well-known lawyer, whom she clearly cares for more than me.”
The blushing bride’s expression quickly changes into a humiliated one, while Massimo continues: “Dear Cristina, I know how mentally and sexually infatuated you are with him, as you’ve confided.
“I also know that before him, you had a relationship with a well-known industrialist.
“Dear friends, don’t think that I take pleasure in playing the role of the cuckold in front of all of you, but Cristina is so adept at telling her truths that I couldn’t leave the narration of the reason why I’m ending my cohabitation with her tonight solely to her.”
He adds: “I am disappointed, my heart is in pieces.
“I blame myself for not understanding how a woman cannot truly love you.
“Dear Cristina, go to Mykonos with your lawyer, be happy with him.
“As you know, everything is paid for, just like the trip to Vietnam with your daughter, a wonderful and serious girl who I’m sorry has to be affected by this situation.
“If you want, when you return, we can consider how to continue a professional collaboration; but our story together ends tonight.
“I wish you to be happy with your new partner and to continue shining in life as you have done in these years.”
Finally, Massimo puts the microphone down as he apologises to the guests and wishes them a good night.
The guests were reportedly left speechless and left soon afterwards as well.
