This is the moment two women are horrified to find their family Audi covered in disgusting mould after it went unused for months during a COVID lockdown.

The stomach-churning footage was filmed in an underground car park in eastern Chinese megacity Shanghai on Wednesday, 1st June.

The car had apparently been untouched for more than two months, due to the strict lockdown imposed on the city following a COVID-19 outbreak.

The video shows how the two women in the footage – who are mother and daughter – were stunned to find the entire interior of the car caked in a disgusting green-brown mould.

One of them can be seen in the clip wiping a handful of the gunk off the passenger seat with a tissue.

According to local reports, the women – who are mother and sister to the vehicle’s owner – soon gave up, with the owner saying he would take it to be valeted instead.

Parts of Shanghai went into lockdown in late March, with the rest of the city following suit days later.

Measures were only eased on 1st June, which is when the footage of the unfortunate car was recorded.
