Girl, 16, Shot In Head In The Street By Ex Boyfriend Who Goes On The Run

A teenage girl has been shot in the head and killed in the street and her missing ex-boyfriend has been named as the prime suspect.

Pamela Neri Ramos Quinzinho, 16, was shot in the head in the municipality of Pedras de Fogo in the north-eastern Brazilian state of Paraiba on 28th December.

The prime suspect is her ex-boyfriend, name not disclosed, who was allegedly unable to come to terms with the end of their year-long relationship.

The victim was drinking on a street close to her home when she was approached by the gunman who immediately opened fire.

The pair split up some three months ago, according to relatives of the victim, who also allege that the suspect was violent and regularly threatened her.

The victim’s grandmother, who raised the teen, told local media: “He wanted her to carry out robberies with him, but she said she would rather die, she wouldn’t do it.

“He said that if she reported him, the first to die would be me.

“He said he would kill us both. He once put a pistol to my head and it was the same weapon he killed her with. Now I’ve been left without my granddaughter.”

According to the victim’s grandmother, the suspect had previously been arrested for drug trafficking and vehicle theft.
