A female singer beat her ex with an iron chair leg then strangled him to death using her tights, it has emerged.

Suspect Secil Ciftci has reportedly confessed to the murder and told police in Istanbul that the couple had rowed before she hit him repeatedly with a broken metal chair leg.

It had previously been reported that she had beaten him to death with it.

But it has now also emerged that he was still alive after the beating. and she allegedly strangled him to death using a pair of tights before wrapping his body in a blanket and throwing it in the woods with the help of her father.

Her dad – who has reportedly helped her tie up and get rid of victim Semih Sevgi’s body in woodlands near the city – has also been arrested. He has been named only as C. C.

Ciftci and Sevgi had reportedly started dating in 2018. Ciftci reportedly told the police: “I have known Semih since 2018. I met him through a friend. Then I broke up with him. He started to bother me.”

Ciftci told the police that once, the victim had shown up at her home with flowers and said she was having none of it. She said: “He came flowers, he wanted to enter the home, I did not accept it.”

She said that she had filed a complaint against the victim before after repeatedly telling him to leave when he would show up at her home, threatening that she would call the police.

She said that once she even accepted that he could come to her house and talk. She said that she told him: “Come, let’s talk. I was drunk. He came to my house in Sisli, where the incident took place.”

Ciftci said that she hit him several times with an iron chair leg after he threatened her when he entered her house and pulled a knife on her. She allegedly said that she then strangled him to death using a pair of tights.

Sevgi’s body – identified by his fingerprints – was found by a family picking mushrooms in the woods after the gruesome murder.

Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command began to suspect Ciftci after she made a number of contradictory statements, according to local media.

After her arrest, she reportedly told investigators: “I hit him many times with the broken iron leg of the chair as the argument grew.

“When he died, I asked my father for help.

“We buried the body with its hands and feet tied.”

Both the singer and her father have been detained in prison pending the outcome of the investigation.
