An ex-con has been arrested for stabbing the mother of his two children and throwing hot oil over her bleeding body because she reportedly gave him a frosty reception on his release from prison.
According to local media, 40-year-old Ersin Yu stabbed his 28-year-old wife Kubra T. in the suburb of Kucukcekmece in the north-western Turkish city of Istanbul.

Ersin was reportedly jailed for robbery and he was released from prison last week.
On his first day of freedom, the convict went to his estranged wife’s place of work to visit her.
However, Kubra gave him a frosty reception and rejected his proposal to get back together, according to local media.
Following an argument at her workplace, Ersin left and reportedly went to her home the next morning.
Entering through the balcony door, Ersin went to the kitchen to boil oil on the stove and then took a knife from a drawer, according to reports.
The suspect then allegedly entered Kubra’s room and woke her up shouting “if you won’t be mine, you won’t be anyone’s!”
Local media said that he stabbed the woman in the leg and then poured the boiling oil over her entire body.
Ersin then allegedly stole the victim’s purse and fled the scene.
Kubra suffered serious burns to her face, hands and chest and is being treated in hospital.
Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested as the investigation continues.
