This is a moment an elite Russian paratrooper smashes into a building and is left hanging from the third-floor by his parachute.

The incident happened in the coastal city of Ussuriysk, administrative center of the Ussuriysk urban district in Russia, in south-east Russia, about 60 kilometers (37 miles) from the China-Russia border and the Pacific Ocean.

While manoeuvres, the paratrooper who was heading to the ground managed to hit the house and was left standard at the level of the third floor of the five-storey building where he had to be rescued.

Local army chiefs confirmed it was a training jump and that it had been fortunate for the paratrooper that the shoot had snagged otherwise he would have crashed to the ground once it deflated after hitting the building.

But it left him stranded as locals filmed footage of the incident and later posted online.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Primorsky Territory said farmers were quickly on the scene and helped him to free himself without any injury.

They were also able to free the parachute which is handed back to the man and he was able to leave the area without needing any medical assistance.
