This is the moment a group of drunk lads celebrate on top of an 82-foot monument they climbed up after a Saturday night out.

Passersby filmed the scene in the early hours of Sunday morning, which shows two young-looking men on top of the Arco Della Pace in the city of Milan, in the northern Italian region of Lombardy.

According to local media, the group of young lads used a scaffolding structure which had been put up to restore some parts of the monument, to climb up to the top of the 25 metres (82 ft) arch.

The footage shows three young men on top of the monument celebrating after climbing to the top.

One of the young men is sat over the edge waving his arms, whilst another is stood up also near the edge and seems to stumble backwards.

According to local media, police were called and officers arrived on the scene.

When the young men saw the officers they reportedly climbed down to escape.
