This footage shows a rally car crashing during a race in Romania and flipping over repeatedly as debris goes flying before coming to a stop in the middle of the road where the driver incredibly suffered no serious injury.
The incident took place during the Campulung Muscel Trophy, a rally that takes place in the municipality of Campulung, which is located in Arges County, in central Romania.
The driver has been named as Costin Popescu by local media outlet Observator News and he reportedly survived the incident with no serious injury.
The footage was shot from the side of the road and it shows a car coming around a corner, but the rear wheels appear to lose their grip on the road and the car skids and spins out.
It veers off the road and crashes into dense foliage before bouncing back and spinning repeatedly as it flies through the air before landing in the middle of the road, as two other people who were filming scurry out of the way.
The car appears to be seriously damaged but the driver does not appear to be significantly injured.
The damage to the vehicle appears to be extensive, with the front bumper ripped clean off, the wheels seriously dented and damaged, and even the driver’s door appears to have been destroyed, leaving only the reinforced bars visible.
