Guilt-stricken Tyrone Laner, 41, popped the question to his glamorous 26-year-old assistant Margo Tsarova as she recovered in her hospital bed after the wounding.

Laner last year starred in the hit TV show America’s Got Talent when he hurled razor-sharp axes past the head of terrified host Simon Cowell.

But, in a more recent performance, horrified show-goers at the Alexander Kunz Theatre, in Saarvrucken Saarland State, Germany, had watched as his blade sliced through Margo’s left eye socket.

But Laner, reports local media, proposed two days later at the Sulzbach eye clinic after Margo had undergone surgery.

Spanish-born Laner told local media: “There is no specific date yet, but we do have the desired location.

“Preferably in the summer in Palma on Mallorca, my home.”

The couple first met at Germany’s Europa Park theme park in 2022 and formed a double act Blade2Blade in 2022.

But despite the horrifying slip, Margo says she has no fear of knives.

The couple told local media: “We are professionals.”

They added: “We will come back stronger and more motivated than before. Because we both love each other and what we do.

“We can’t wait to be on stage together again in 2024.”
