Famous Singer Can’t Control Her Emotions During Concert After Losing Custody Of Son After 11-Year Battle

This is the touching moment a famous Balkan singer gets emotional while singing a song about her son after the court decided to once again strip her of custody rights in what is now an 11-year legal battle.

The Supreme Court of Croatia has overturned the 2021 decision granting joint custody to renowned 51-year-old Balkan sensation Severina Vuckovic and her millionaire ex-partner Milan Popovic over a procedural error.

Severina, who then had a concert in Jahorina, Bosna and Hercegovina on 26 January faced an emotional breakdown on stage as she was performing the song My Born (Rodjeno Moje), dedicated to her son.

She wrote the song when she first lost custody in 2019.

In a moving speech, she told her fans: “My obligation, my duty was to come here. I didn’t get out of bed for four days. Then I got up, I had to get dressed, do my makeup, do my hair and bow to you.”

At the end of the performance, the singer raised her middle finger and said: “This won’t kill me “

Severina began dating Milan, who is self-proclaimed ‘king of copper’, from Belgrade, in 2010.

The couple then got engaged and welcomed their first and only child in February 2012.

Their heir love story ended in 2013 when the custody saga began.

The court initially granted custody to Severina in 2014, with Milan having visitation rights twice a month.

However, subsequent legal disputes ensued, granting both parents joint custody in 2018.

But Popovic won sole custody in 2019 after Severina accused her son’s school of child abuse.

Severina regained joint custody in 2021, celebrating it as a victory against what she claimed was orchestrated grief.

And now, the most recent decision by the Supreme Court to give full custody to Popovic has shocked the public.

Severina expressed her disappointment, vowing to continue her fight for her son and claiming that he has suffered the “torture of the judiciary” for a decade.

She denounced the ruling as a setback in the pursuit of justice, shedding light on systemic issues within the Croatian legal system.

The Croatian president Zoran Milanovic said last week: ” I don’t know what his father and mother are like, but where are the courts? Maybe something needs to be changed in the Constitution. It is a serious topic.”

Meanwhile, women support groups and famous people from the country and the Balkan are showing support for the singer.
