These images show the 10-year-old boy who lives alone after his family died and the youngster now grows his own vegetables to survive.

Dang Van Khuyen lives by himself in a Vietnamese village in Tuyen Quang province after recently losing his father and grandmother.

The 10-year-old’s moth reportedly died when he was very young and his construction worker father lived separately from the family.

The youngster was raised by his grandmother with financial help from his father and lived a simple rural life, according to reports.

However, the youngster’s grandmother reportedly passed away recently of old age leaving him home alone and shortly after his father is said to have died shortly after in a work accident.

Khuyen has been left to live alone and reportedly survives by growing his own vegetables. Local media report he has continued to study and never skips school.

After the local government and his school found out about his situation they tried to find him a foster family. However, the youngster reportedly refused, insisting on living alone.

One of his teachers then took leave and spent a reported 10 million VND (334 GBP) to have the body of the boy’s dad brought to his home where he was later buried.

After the teacher posted about the youngster online, several netizens reportedly offered to adopt him but he has refused to leave his home.
