Crowd Rushes In To Stop Parachutist Being Blown Out To Sea

This is the moment a crowd on the beach acts together to rescue a parachutist who risked being blown out to sea when sudden gale force winds sprung up.

The video showing the malfunctioning parachute was shot on a beach in Sanya which is the southernmost city on Hainan Island, and one of the four prefecture-level cities of Hainan Province in South China.

The parachute, secured by a rope above the beach, was swept out to sea after the wind became too strong for the parachute to be winched back in during the incident on 2nd May.

However other beachgoers rushed over and grabbed the rope and put their weight on it to bring the parachute back down to the ground, before eventually gathering the parachutist themselves and bringing them back down to safety.
