The vehicle driven by a man surnamed Xiao suddenly reverses into them, running over mum Ms Wang as well as husband Mr Zhang and their eight-year-old daughter.
The out-of-control car knocks over a traffic light and a bollard, stopping on top of Ms Wang, who remains trapped under the vehicle.
Mr Zhang picks himself up off the ground and helps his daughter, who appeared to be driven over by one of the car’s wheels.
The child is cared for by the female pedestrian as Mr Zhang joins a crowd of rescuers who run over to begin lifting the vehicle.
The large crowd of around 20 people pick the car up and shift it to one side in just 38 seconds, freeing Ms Wang.
Local authorities said the family of three was taken to hospital, where Ms Wang was diagnosed with a fractured collarbone.
Her husband and daughter suffered soft tissue injuries, and none is in serious condition.
The driver Xiao “mishandled” the vehicle, causing the crash, the police said.
He will be held fully liable for the accident.
