This is the moment a drunk woman dancing enthusiastically at a party falls out of an open upper-floor window.

The incident was filmed at a birthday bash in an apartment in the neighbourhood of El Recreo in the city of Barranquilla in the Colombian department of Atlantico on Saturday night.

A singer filming his performance with a mobile phone captured the moment the woman lost balance and fell through the upper-floor window.

In the footage, the performer is seen crooning into a mic as a crowd of people sing along and the woman is one of those who is seen dancing in the background.

She is wearing a white hat at the back and is raising her arms and dancing to the song when she suddenly loses her balance and falls backwards out of the window.

With his back to the woman, the singer appears to be one of the first to react, and immediately stops singing and spins on his heels to look.

In the next scene, the woman is seen lying motionless on the ground after falling several storeys as bystanders rush to help her and put her in the back of a car to take her to hospital.

According to local media, the woman suffered several fractures and a head trauma, however, she is now out of danger.

Other partygoers told local media that they warned the woman to be careful by the window, however, she ignored them because she was drunk and in high spirits.
