A couple has allegedly had sex in the toilets and children’s play area of a Buffalo Grill steakhouse before the 48-year-old hubby assaulted the manager for complaining about their conduct.

The middle-aged couple was on trial at the criminal court of Angouleme in the western French department of Charente for violence and sexual exhibitionism at a local Buffalo Grill steakhouse.

According to local media, when the manager saw the CCTV footage he realised that the couple was taking part in sex acts and went to confront them.

Reports said that the defendants were filmed bonking in the restaurant’s toilets and the children’s play area in March 2019.

When the unnamed husband was confronted by the restaurant owner, he hit him for insulting his wife.

He also shoved a waitress who was trying to separate them. The waitress had to take two days off work following the incident, according to reports.

Local media said the court acquitted the couple of sexual exhibitionism because the CCTV images were not clear enough.

However, the 48-year-old husband was convicted of violence and will have to pay 500 EUR (435 GBP) and 300 EUR (260 GBP) in damages to the manager and the waitress, as well as fines of 300 EUR and 150 EUR (130 GBP) for his violent acts, according to local media.
