This is the footage of a man who was left convulsing uncontrollably on the ground outside the entrance of a health clinic because the doctors could reportedly not leave their posts.

The incident took place in front of the Clinic Number 2 in the city of Yelets in the Lipetsk Oblast region of western Russia and was recorded by an onlooker.

In the video, the man, who has not been identified in reports, can be seen convulsing on the ground at the entrance to the hospital.

The man is shaking uncontrollably until a worker at the clinic, named in reports as Elena, goes to look after him.

The witness who is shooting the video says: “The medics are just passing by… Not a single doctor or nurse”.

Local media report the staff at the reception desk had been told about the convulsing man by onlookers but doctors could not go to treat him because they are not allowed to leave their posts.

Reports state the man had been on his way to a doctor’s appointment when he dropped to the ground.

A representative for the clinic told local media: “As soon as we found out about what was happening we called the emergency services. The man feels better now.”

One netizen wrote: “This is a hospital, there are lots of doctors there on the first floor, and you want to tell me that there was no one seeing what was going on?”
