This is the moment a young Colombian girl sings a heartfelt song to a passing driver and wows the internet with her dulcet tones.

The incident was filmed in a village in the northern Colombian department of Bolivar and the video has been widely shared on social media.

In the footage, a passenger in the stationary car is seen filming from the backseat as a group of children crowd outside the driver’s window.

Meanwhile, one young girl sings her heart out for the car occupants as they clap and gush “what a voice”.

According to local media, the motorist stopped the car while driving through the village and hearing the girl singing to her pals.

The girl sang ‘Tarde Lo Conoci’ by Colombian singer Patricia Teheran.

Colombian media said they were trying to identify the girl in the viral footage with the news site Publimetro later reporting that her name is Doralis Romulo Mercado, aged not reported, from the village of Hatillo de Loba in Bolivar Department.
