A young woman has been found dead in a freezer in her home and police have identified a man and woman she was in a ‘throuple’ with as the prime suspects.

The dead body of Vanusa Pereira da Silva, 25, was found inside a freezer in her home in Janiopolis, southern Brazil, in the early hours of Wednesday, 7th December.
Her body had been wrapped in a blanket and sprinkled with lime dust, apparently to get rid of the odour.
Police made the grim find after a woman, with whom the victim was reportedly in a three-way relationship, asked her brother to call police to tell them about the body.
The two women were reportedly in a relationship with a man, and police believe he and the surviving woman were responsible for Vanusa’s death.
According to reports, the female suspect had confessed to her brother that she and the man had killed the victim on Saturday night, 3rd December.

Vanusa had first been reported as missing by one of the suspects on Monday, 5th December.
According to police, the male suspect had only moved to Janiopolis recently. Both suspects were at large at the time of reporting.
Vanusa’s body was reportedly found with a perforation to the neck and signs of head trauma. It was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
According to some reports, the three individuals were not, in fact, a throuple but the man had simply cheated on his partner with Vanusa.

Civil Police are investigating the case.
