This is the moment a cleaning lady lands on the bonnet of a moving car after falling from the fourth-floor window she was reportedly cleaning in Istanbul.

The startling incident took place in the Atasehir district of Istanbul city, Turkey when the unnamed worker was cleaning the windows of a fourth-floor flat.

Local media report the woman lost her balance and in the video she can be seen falling into the bonnet of a passing car.

The driver comes to a halt and the woman rolls off the bonnet and onto the road. Passersby rush to the scene and local media report an ambulance was called.

The paramedics which came on the scene along with the police took the seriously injured woman to a nearby hospital. 

A witness who saw the incident told local media: “I work in a nearby shop. We were very busy at the moment when we heard a sound. We previously had seen the woman while cleaning the windows. She was hanging with one foot outside the window. First we thought that the woman was hit by a car but then we realised that she had fallen onto the car from the window.

“She lay on the ground for a while, nobody touched her until the paramedics came. Then the ambulance took her to the hospital. We first thought she was a neighbour but then we found out she was a cleaning lady working in one of the apartments. We heard that currently her condition is stable.”

There are no further updates on the woman’s condition.
