This is the moment a group of “elite” cartel hitmen in full army gear and assault rifles parade the bloodied leader of a rival gang in his underwear before he was hanged from a bridge.
The hitmen from the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG ) are said to have killed the man dressed in underwear and covered in blood in the video, identified as Antonio Cervantes Hernandez, alias El Tony, after torturing him.
The body of the victim, said to be the leader of a rival gang, was found in the municipality of Villagran, in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato, hanging from a bridge along with another victim, identified as Adolfo Mendoza Valencia, alias El Michoacano, the alleged head of the cartel Santa Rosa de Lima, who are embroiled in a gang war with the CJNG in the area.

In the video, Hernandez can be seen in his underwear with blood all over his body as hitmen in balaclavas and holding assault rifles stand around him.
A masked man says: “We are the elite group of the four letters. We are here to bring peace and tranquillity to the whole state of Guanajuato. This is what is going to happen to those who attack the government.
“To all the kidnappers, extortionists, ulcers and thieves, and all who mess around with innocent people, this is for you, dirty Marro.”
Jose Antonio Yepez, alias ‘El Marro’, is said to be the head of the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel, a gang who focus on stealing petrol throughout Mexico and are based in the state of Guanajuato. It is unclear why they were talking about apparently supporting the government.
The victim in the video was kidnapped on 26th July when he was travelling in a vehicle. His family began a search for him but he was later found hanging from a bridge. He is said to have been the leader of the criminal gang called Grupo Sombra (Shadow Group), which had recently joined the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel.
The CJNG are known for posting videos of the torture, murder and dismembering of members of rival gangs on social media. The cartel is linked with drug trafficking and also in the robbery of petrol, kidnapping and human trafficking. Its leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes is one of the most-wanted men in Mexico.
