A man celebrating his 30th birthday has been stabbed to death after a row with teenagers who were throwing ice from a balcony.
Victim Martin Mora Negretti died of multiple stab wounds in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires province, Argentina, in the early hours of 19th June.
Martin had been marking his milestone birthday on a night out with a friend and their partners.
Trouble started when a group of young teenagers reportedly threw ice on them from a seventh-floor balcony.
Martin and his friend rowed angrily with the teens before moving on.
But the teens came down to the street armed with knives and allegedly attacked the two men from behind.
Shocking CCTV video footage of the victim’s last moments alive shows three teens approaching the group.
All of them seem to be carrying blades.
As the two older men try to walk backwards, the teens pounce and disappear from the security camera.
A few seconds later the three teens are seen running away and looking over their shoulders.
Martin suffered six stab wounds to his back along with a fatal wound that severed a major artery and caused internal bleeding.
He also suffered a heart attack in the ambulance and was revived by paramedics. Martin was immediately taken to the operating theatre where he died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, his friend, named only as Bruno, was also taken to the Hospital Interzonal General de Agudos (HIGA) with a single superficial wound inflicted by one of the teens.
During the attack, a 23-year-old woman, who was with the teens at the time, reportedly stole a mobile phone from one of the victims’ girlfriends.
The group then re-entered the seventh-floor apartment, which belongs to an uncle of two of the teens, and the police arrived on the scene to seize them.
Officers arrested the young woman, named as Marilyn Brisa Vera Gonzalez, and three teenagers aged between 14 and 15 years old.
Vera Gonzalez was taken to court where she reportedly refused to testify before the senior prosecutor on duty, Leandro Arevalo.
Meanwhile, the three teens have been placed at the disposal of prosecutor Marcelo Yanez Urrutia of the juvenile crime department as the investigation continues.
